WPJA Q2 Contest

The WPJA just announced their Q2 Contest winners. One of my images is placed 12th under the Reception Category. For worldwide... not bad... not bad... I'm pretty happy :) It puts me at #2 in Oregon!

JUDGES COMMENTS: Working in difficult lighting conditions, the photographer did a fine job making this an image. It’s nice that the bride is softly lit while the strobe stops the action of the bouquet grab. And the shadow adds a nice unexpected dramatic element.

Angela + Laney

Angela & Laney got married last Saturday at McMenamins Cornelius Pass Road House. The girls dressed in different colors, matching the flower combination Laney picked for the day (yes, he did). The sky and the garden boasted their potential, serving as ambient to the colorful celebration.

The guys competed Wii Bowling before getting ready just a quarter before time.

Victorian mansion decor, garden ceremony, Texas flag groom's cake, tap 'n' clap dances... simply put, it's a Texas wedding in Portland! Jennifer & Michael got married last Saturday at Queen Anne Victorian Mansion. It was a hot day, breaking the town's 15-year record, but what a celebration they had.

Abby & Luke grew up in Portland, went to college in Hawaii, got a job and moved to San Francisco recently. They got married at Abby's parents' backyard, reunited with their closest people. They are much loved...

Kacy & Doug got married last Saturday at their own 86 acres property at Sandy, OR! Yet they had a humble celebration; having a Safeway wedding cake, without bouquet toss or anything like that. They just enjoyed the presence of close family and friends.
